Drippin’ Darlins,
Once again we write you from unseasonably season-y weather, cloaked in blankets and surrounded by buckets to catch the drips that California architects™ never predicted. Hopefully you weathered the weather well whether you reveled or huddled. Here at Dynasty we believe the best thing to keep you warm is some good ol’ fashioned corn with a side of entertainment, so come onnnn down to the coveted MacDoKo Arts Distict and see a show or 10000. By the way, we’ve decided to name our little pocket of Los Angeles the MacDoKo Arts District. (MacArthur Park Downtown Koreatown). We are MacDoKo Strong. “MAD about YOU!” is a potential catchphrase when courting new residents. MAD, in this context, is for MacDoKo Arts District. You can also sing the beautiful Beach Boy’s masterpiece “Kokomo” but replace “Kokomo” with MacDoKo. That’s where you wanna go // Way down to MacDoKo.
Macarthur, a-West Lake-a ooh we want to take ya,
Downtow—a, Korea, come on come with a me-a,
Levitt, Pavillion
Ooh we know you’re feelin’…..
On that big Wilshire street,
There’s a place called MacDoKo
That’s where you wanna go
to get away from it all.
We're also working on incorporating MacDoKo into "Mac The Knife" as performed by Bobby Darin but we haven't cracked it yet. Stay tuned, especially you Gen Z'ers on this email list, as we know that it will speak to your experience.

⛓️WEDNESDAY at 7:30PM: Billy & The Situation, a New Two-Person Play about NJ’s Baddest Boys. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino appeared on six seasons of MTV’s The Jersey Shore before being convicted of tax fraud and sentenced to eight months in prison. Billy McFarland, the Fyre Festival guy, founded a members-only club for Millennials and a failed luxury music festival before being convicted of wire fraud and sentenced to six years in prison. For four months, these notorious New Jersey bad boys were locked up in the same federal prison. This is a new two- person, one-act comedy play about their time as cellmates. It didn’t happen, but what if it did? Performed by comics and former New Jersey girlies: JENNY GORELICK [Billy] and GABBY BRYAN [Mike]. Written by Jenny Gorelick and Isaac Himmelman
Directed by Ashley Rodbro (Moulin Rouge, Oh, Hello)
