Hello there, you darlings of July!
On a scale of recharged to de-charged, how rested are you? We’re at a solid 40% battery life ourselves, bodily factors keeping us from true sleep (looking at you, youth-sciatica™, and staring you down, early-onset insomnia, and really giving the stink eye to some children who love nothing more than sneaking into bed to use one of our heads (Van) as a pummeling orb.) Sleep-prohibitors aside we’re still… VITAL. And that’s our wish for you as well, UNLIMITED ACCESS TO VITALITY! (We’re working on a pill for that! So far the only ingredient is popcorn.) We’re very excited about all the upcoming programming ‘round these parts and also very excited that VanJam + our fabulous booker Miss Mary will be heading to Montreal this weekend to attend JFL and see more comedy and meet professional comedy people so we can bring more comedy to our venue that has a lot of comedy. We just can’t get enough. And when we come back we’ll hide from doctors for a couple of weeks as we process the poutine. Our favorite way to eat it? Young Frankenstein style: poutine on a Ritz! (We said Montreal, you knew at least one dumb poutine thing was coming, but we gave you TWO. The second one dumber than you could’ve hoped for. And that’s The Dynasty Difference.™

♂️ TONIGHT! MONDAY, 7:30PM: It’s a double showing of some double-darlings, we’ve got TWO events with the Sklar Brothers! This two man/one man show by legendary comedy team, The Sklar Brothers, will make the case for parenting by showing audiences just how difficult parenting can be. Through their stand up comedy and the story of their own personal journey to find out their true identities as identical twins, Twin Dads explores the notion that it’s good to know who you are as a person when you are trying to raise a person. If you are a parent or you’ve ever had parents, this show is for you.

THURSDAY, 7:30PM: Crooked Media Reads Presents: LYDIA KIESLING in conversation w/ TOMMY VIETOR: Mobility Book Release A FREE with RSVP book release event, hosted by TOMMY VIETOR (Pod Save America, Pod Save The World, spokesperson for President Barack Obama, co founder of Crooked!) A propulsive novel about class, power, politics, and desire by the celebrated author of The Golden State.
FRIDAY, 10:00PM: KAI SAMRA: Native
Award winning comedian Kai Samra has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting acts on the U.K circuit today.
His ★★★★★, critically acclaimed, debut show ‘Underclass’ was produced and funded by Soho Theatre (Fleabag) and was filmed as an Amazon Prime comedy special (alongside Mae Martin, Nish Kumar etc). It was then followed by three sell-out runs at Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe. It was also recommended by The Guardian, The Observer, The Evening Standard and was in the list of best shows at the Edinburgh Fringe by Fest Mag. His second show ‘Native’ was also produced and funded by Soho Theatre, had rave reviews, two sell-out runs in London’s West End and will have shows in L.A and Mumbai later in the year. .
