August is upon us! Or as we're calling this month at Dynasty, AugLUST! See what we did there? Other intimate 98 year old 200 seat venues in Los Angeles wouldn't even DARE to think about bringing some creativity to the name, spelling, and pronunciation of the name of a month. Those venues would be afraid it might be confusing at best and incendiary at worst to do what we just did without a second thought. And what we did: add an L to the middle of the seemingly innocuous spelling of August to transform it from a ho-hum calendar month to a month that evokes SEXUAL FANTASY. Can we say the phrase "sexual fantasy" here? Well we're sure as hell not going to go back and delete it, so if shades of erotica in a newsletter is a crime, 🫦🚨🔒 LOCK US UP OFFICER, AND THROW AWAY THE KEY. 🗝️🚨🫦 So you know, we actually do have a sweet spot for this kind of steamy stuff so stay tuned as soon you will be introduced to writings and ephemera we've found in the Dynasty family archive including ROMPMAG 🫦💦, HORSETHROB 🐴💦, TANK 💪🏽💦, and a whole lot more titillating content. THE BENSON MOVIE INTERRUPTION: YOUR CHOICE is a show where comedian Doug Benson (SUPER HIGH ME, @midnight) invites some of his comedy friends to sit in the front row of the theater with mics, cracking wise during a screening of a movie that YOU choose. That’s right, audience members are encouraged to bring a dvd/blu ray of a film they would like to see ripped apart (lovingly) and a vote will be held to determine which one we watch.
