Another day! Grateful to be on this weird little rock planet and get to experience things and learn and grow and eat good food and also be dumb whenever possible. Hope your portion of the world is feeling stable and full of possibilities. Speaking of stable and full of possibilities, it’s Dynasty's DESIGNER DAN’s birthday! Dan's talent, passion for design, and collaborative creative spirit are all over Dynasty's walls, screens, and digital output, and we couldn’t be happier aboot it. We say something like “we need a hellscape Beaver mascot for an angry instagram post STAT!” and he says “hold my diet coke.” A version of this particular request happens pretty much daily. He’s our favorite Canadian export (sorry maple syrup, you’re a total drip.;) and Mounties, don’t worry- you’re a strong number two.) We’re so glad he’s been with us so long, helping Dynasty look like Dynasty. Next time you see something beautiful… think of Dan. And next time you hear us tell an even mildly funny joke, please literally fall out of your chair laughing because that’s what Dan does and it makes us feel POWERFUL and ALIVE.

🧍WEDNESDAY, 7:30PM: Solo: A Show About Friendship GABE MOLLICA brings his hit Off-Broadway show “Solo: a show about friendship” to Dynasty Typewriter for first time. Gabe begins “Solo” with a confession. “I turned 30 and it occurred to me that I don’t have any friends.” From there, Gabe analyzes “the bro relationship,” men’s love of Adam Sandler movies, and his obsession with Stephen Sondheim. Eventually, the show settles into the compelling story of Gabe’s first ever “best friend,” and the hilarious and unbelievable complications that follow. Directed by GREG WALLOCH (Hasan Minhaj’s Homecoming King,) “Solo” was extended 3 times at New York’s historic SoHo Playhouse. Jason Zinoman of the New York Times called the show “Very funny, sweet not sappy, intricate Birbiglian storytelling.”

MONDAY, 7:30PM: TINA FRIML Tina Friml is a NY based standup comedian. Using animated optimism on her own physical disability, yet fearless honesty about the social assumptions that come with living with cerebral palsy, Tina has cultivated a strong following with over 160K followers on Instagram and over 92.5K on Tiktok. She made her late night debut on the Comedy Central series Featuring. Her set will debut later this year. She was a 2019 New Face in the acclaimed Just For Laughs Festival, has performed in the Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, Indiana and appeared in the 2018 NBC Comedy Spotlight Series at Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival.
