Well, we met "Weird Al" at the theater last night for a Good Deed Corps screening of Weird so you know how we’re doing. WALKING ON AIIIIIR! And howwwwney, the view from the top is nice. Why, you can practically see all of Spatula City from here. Seriously though, it's arguable that this place wouldn't exist without his musical and comedic influence to us as kids (and as adults), so it was beyond exciting and he's as nice as you've probably heard!
Let’s take a look at this week and see what we can do to get you hiiiiigh like us (not 420 high, MOOD high. Or both at your discretion, but we aren’t pushing anything, ok!)

THURSDAY, 7:30PM: Lovett or Leave It! Come on down to Dynasty for a dose of delight as JON LOVETT and his special guests rant and rave through the week’s happening. We said special guests and we meant it: PAT REGAN, HARI KONDABOLU, MARCY JARREAU, and ALAN RUCK!

4:30PM: JFL: Characters Hide your wigs, or these folks will take them! We’re so excited to host JUST FOR LAUGHS showcases. If you know comedy, you know careers are made at the Montreal’s JFL festival, and that makin’ is starting right here at Dynasty! Come see the next big things do their things and be a real comedy insider and be able to tell other people “oh I’ve known their work for yearrrrrs.”
7:30PM: The Last Improv Show! If you don’t know how much we love The Last Improv Show, you’ve probably never read our newsletters and probably aren’t reading this now, and so it’s a real “if a tree falls in a forest” situation. for those of you IN the forest, hearing the fall, you know what’s up. What’s up is that this is a badass improv show (never thought we’d put those words together) produced by DAN BLACK and CHRISTINA CALPH. They put together great ensembles of improvisers and then a cherry on top of a cultural phenomenon monologist. This week: JALEEL WHITE

In addition to bonkers lineups, there are always amazing guest monologist- this week we’re flippin’ out over DOUG JONES! The super-talented actor who you’ve seen in cinema masterpieces but probably wouldn’t recognize because he’s always in insane costumes. (The Silver Surfer! Pale Man and Fauno in Pan’s Labyrinth! The not-human in The Shape of Water! Billy Butcherson in Hocus Pocus! Delightfully, the moon man in McDonald’s old Mac The Night commercial!)

A one woman show about a compulsive shopper who freed herself from debt and shame one spray at a time. Nicole Travolta is a Los Angeles based Actor/Comedian. You will find her on Instagram (@nicoletravolta), or TikTok if you’re 15, creating fully absurd characters or doing impressions of her favorite public figures.
