Simply scroll to the bottom for a list of all of our upcoming shows COMPLETELY COPY FREE! At least one subscriber has let us know that the presence of words in the emails is… unwelcome. To them we say, thank you for the interesting feedback! And to you we say, feel free to scroll down, ignore these seemingly futile attempts at human connection and self-expression and frolic in the BIG BUTTONS at the bottom of the email with pictures and show titles. And to others we say… thanks for reading or at least not being disgusted by emails containing… words. 🤷♀️ The feller who didn’t like our emails ALSO didn’t like our reasoning that we enjoy writing them and that some people like reading them, and claimed we *might* be letting the tail wag the dog. Back on our connective bullshit: Would you believe us if we were to tell you we are writing this from a subway train on the coast of Japan? I hope you would because we are! We are at the tail (wagging the dog) end of the most amazing trip to Japan, a first for both Van and Jam. We are here (obviously) because ol’ Jam was asked to be a judge for a Japanese reality competition comedy show pilot! At first, we thought it was a scam and then we thought it was actually the most delightful excuse/reason/opportunity to go on a flarpin’ adventure. This is the most beautiful country either of us has ever been to, with the most wonderful kind and respectful human beings. America’s great and all (We’ve got hands down the funniest home videos!) but… Japan is better? We went all around Tokyo for two days, then off to the beautiful seaside town of Kamakura, and now we are en route to Hakone for some good ol’ fashioned hot springs and spiritual awakenings. We’ve had many many moments of magic and inspiration already, and the takeaways/re-piphanies include: the moment is Now, life is a gift, human connection is everything, authentic expression is necessary, this planet that we treat like a trash can is NOT a trash can, and it is a gift to host and be hosted, to experience and create experiences. Also eating is like… really fun. And we are excited as always to infuse Dynasty with all the things we learn on our travels.
But we do miss the beautiful theater and all the beautiful souls who are humaning-the fort. Thank you to Missy, Dax, Langston, Sam, the other Sam, and the whole crew for upholding the magical realm there as we explore magical realms elsewhere!
