Season’s quackings and welcome to 🦆DUCKCEMBER! 🦆 at Dynasty Typewriter! (🦆Duckcember🦆 is just like December but incredibly 🦆DUCK forward🦆.) We decided to call it that for our fun monthly calendar graphic because VanJam (us) are learning to hone our intuition and our intuition gently whispered to us that a 🦆duck theme🦆 was the only way. So here we are. If it rubs you the wrong way, well, I guess you hate our intuition. But if you like it, along with comedy, music, movies, musings, enchantment, and joy then well darling.... we are flarpin’ birds of a feather. 🪶Let’s stick together alll month (and then, always.)
Over here we’re brimming with gratitude and gravy-tude after a lovely week of celebrating family and friendship and the many good things still clattering around this wild world. Just last night was our DynaStaff Holiday Party! MagicMissy™ 🪄 (our masterful GM) put together a truly beautiful spread (Charcuterie! Sando station! Darling lil’ desserts!) and our Professional Darlings™ showed up in festive wear and SHOWED OUT in karaoke on a holiday lit and amply hazed stage, hosted by our Head T-Nav DJKJ (Karaoke Jockey Dax Jordan in the house!) If there had been talent scouts in the audience, at LEAST 3 of our staff would’ve been signed to lucrative record deals! And at least 15 others would have been… witnessed. We are so grateful for this team and the kindness and joy they bring to Dynasty every flarpin' night. ♥️
We’re also incredibly grateful for the beautiful and bounteous month we have coming up! A full calendar (see below!) of amazing artists are gracing our stage. As we look into the future, SO much is uncertain but one thing we fully believe is that the human needs for art, expression, and joy will always be a necessity. We’re so happy to have so many shows on the schedule and so many livestreams too! No matter where you are, we invite you to be a part of Dynasty. Oh! In addition to our on-stage programming, this month we’re offering the OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME, 🦆The Dynasty Duck Hunt! 🦆 Our FAVORITE non-violent way to capture the absolute thrill of fowl-play. (both the show name and a plea to fossil fuel CEOs) features stand-up comedy, music, sketches, and videos. It'll be a hilarious - and enraging - show for Yellow Dot Studios, a non-profit media studio calling out polluters and mobilizing action on the climate emergency.

🎥 🤚 🤫 TUESDAY, 12/3, 7:30PM: The Benson Movie Interruption: Your Choice! is a show where comedian DOUG BENSON (SUPER HIGH ME, @midnight) invites some of his comedy friends to sit in the front row of the theater with mics, cracking wise during a screening of a movie that YOU choose. That’s right, audience members are encouraged to bring a dvd/blu ray of a film they would like to see ripped apart (lovingly) and a vote will be held to determine which one we watch.

🛖 🌴 🍌 WEDNESDAY, 12/4, 7:30PM: Fruity Island's Survivor Watch Party is headed to Los Angeles! Join GABE BERGADO and SAM STANISH for a night of outwitting, outslaying, and potentially Outback Steakhouse.
We’ll kick off the night with a meme-tastic recap along with some extra fruity performances and challenges. Then we’ll mindfully watch the episode when it’s on at 8pm and wrap up with a post-show talkback. There won't be a Survivor auction, but we'll have a raffle and prizes in the mix.
We’re so excited to bring this New York City event to the West Coast and celebrate with the kinds of Survivor fans who will cheer when a mother wins immunity and root for gay mess.
