Dearest Dynasty Darlings,
So if you've been paying attention, we've (VanJam) been alluding to ✨ April 12th✨ in these newsies the past few weeks as ⏳ a line in the sand of time ⌛️ where, after what has been a particularly challenging year so far and several weeks of retrogrades and eclipses and full moons, everything ALIGNS and we all come into our power as humans. 🦂 Us Scorpios do, anyway. 🦂 But seemingly it's for everyone else too. 🙄 Just kidding, we totallly support emotional evolution for all! Of course, this is all according to astrology influencers on Instagram. Who, you know, contain all the grand wisdom of the universe. Well, it's the 14th of April now, and safe to say, IT FLARPIN' HAPPENED. There is no doubt that over here at Dynasty we are finally coming into our power! How do we know it? Well, for starters, one of us asked The Tarot Gods last night to give us a card that would portend what was coming this week in light of the astrological predictions and the card that was pulled: The Knight of Wands! ♞🪄 Which is basically like the universe saying "Get it, girl!!" In the Thoth deck, anyway. So that was uncanny. But if a tarot pull isn't convincing you or making your blood boil*, let us tell you about this weekend!
On Saturday night, Dynasty produced a livestream for the Handsome podcast from Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas at The Bass Concert Hall! A sold out 2,900 person capacity and thousands more watching at home! It looked and sounded beautiful and Fortune, Tig, and Mae were of course as handsome and charming as ever. (FYI the livestream is still available!) Meanwhile, Vanessa was with her family in Denver, Colorado, on a trip to visit the enchanting Casa Bonita! Don't know what Casa Bonita is? Look it up and watch this amazing documentary about it's recent re-opening. If ever there was a place that we needed to visit to do research and recon for our own enchanting pursuits at Dynasty and beyond, it is there. And it did not disappoint! Fun was had, notes were taken, and inspiration was bestowed. Note: when we have our own themed bar/restaurant it will take some cues but be like totally our own much weirder vibe.
Finally, over at Dynasty, Jamie was hosting Dynasty Tonight! With Vanessa in Denver and Sam in Austin, it was up to Jamie to hold down the fort. With Vanessa's dog Herbert co-hosting (with the help of GM Missy's Herbert wrangling), a pared down trombone forward Dynasties, and an epic line-up, the fort was successfully held! The ✨ April 12th ✨ transformation was talked about throughout the show and by the end the entire audience was on it's feet (save for a group of 6 in the middle who Jamie absolved because, hey, standing just isn't for everyone) manifesting magic and success and peace and love for everyone there with the band punctuating the ceremonies and raising the vibration to the next level. It was silly and absurd and beautiful (and for 6 people it was possibly challenging), but hey, that's the human experience and we LOVE that over here. Don't worry, there's always enough self awareness at a Dynasty show to make positivity consumable by even the most cynical. We like to think. Anyhoo, Spring is here, The Knight of Wands ♞🪄has spoken, and joy is here (or on the horizon) for us all. At least that's what we're telling ourselves right now. (Note: Don't look at the news.)
