Keep yer pets indoors and put on their thunder coats, because (at least in our LA neighborhoods) July means scorching heat and illicit terrifying fireworks every night at the strangest hours possible! It’s all because PATRIOTISM we’re sure. Or loving to watch things burn out fast and make weird noises, which at this point…are the same thing? Yes, it’s a season of YIKES out there, and ain’t nobody winning. So why even go out there? Why not stay inside? And boy have we got the most epic air-conditioned place for you:

🛳️ TONIGHT, MONDAY, 7/1, 7:30PM: Never Let Go! Of Pride
LOW TICKET WARNING NEVER LET GO is a “feat of ingenuity” (NY Times). This uproariously queer one-man show takes you back to the Ship of Dreams. It distills the three-plus hour epic and packs into one hour a surprisingly subversive punch. Kinnan, who grew up worshiping the movie and its iconic cast of characters, plays all of them with “perfectly executed comedy, pathos and homage” (ScotsGay Arts). As told by Rose, the play takes you on an intimate journey into the fateful romance that is shadowed by one of the most devastating man-made disasters of modern history – the sinking of the Titanic. NEVER LET GO is “a truly unique and absorbing high camp theatrical piece” (Culture Fix).
♂️ TUESDAY, 7/2, 7:00PM: The Benson Movie Interruption: Your Choice is a show where comedian Doug Benson (SUPER HIGH ME, @midnight) invites some of his comedy friends to sit in the front row of the theater with mics, cracking wise during a screening of a movie that YOU choose. That’s right, audience members are encouraged to bring a dvd/blu ray of a film they would like to see ripped apart (lovingly) and a vote will be held to determine which one we watch.

WEDNESDAY, 7/3, 7:30PM: Danthony and Friends With Special Guest: KISSIE JR.
What if kids in a basement never stopped playing? What if they had their food delivered under the door for decades as they honed their skills, expanded their imaginations and went moderately insane? Danthony & Friends is a pop music odyssey about time, self, society, and perception — stuffed with psychedelic absurdity, philosophy, puppets, and unreasonably catchy bangers that will burrow into your mind and likely haunt you forever. All of this in a whimsical cartoon world. It’s maximum absurdity, high production jank that’s way more fun and far better than it has any business being.
DANTHONY is a musician, philosopher and performance artist. Is he a Grammy-nominated and 3x gold-record-earning engineer and songwriter with over 20 million streams and climbing? Yes. He’s also an LA 7 (at least) and incredibly humble and stylish to boot. Puppets and set by the incomparable EMMA BRADFORD.

7:30PM: Dynasty Tonight! JAM (Van’s sadly out of town!) is going HAM on hosting our sometimes weekly in-house produced variety enchantaganza! Or at least will be hosting! He’ll be backed up by the amazing house-band The Dy-Nasties and fueled by an UNKNOWN POWER from a very generous God. And it's DT so you know there will be business-threatening giveaways!

(both the show name and a plea to fossil fuel CEOs) features stand up comedy, music, sketches, videos, and an interview with a real life climate scientist. It’ll be a hilarious – and enraging – show for Yellow Dot Studios, a non-profit media studio calling out polluters and mobilizing action on the climate emergency.
