Grateful to be on this weird little rock planet and get to experience things and learn and grow and eat good food and also be dumb whenever possible. Dan's talent, passion for design, and collaborative creative spirit are all over Dynasty's walls, screens, and digital output, and we couldn’t be happier aboot it. Over here, we’re having a lovely little float on life lately, with wonderful shows and wonderful folks abound! We absolutely loved MAE MARTIN’s 4 night run of improv shows! Each was magical and hilarious and lovely AND Mae’s audience is . Just a bunch of smart and funny humans who were all kind at concession and excited by DynaPop! toppings and iridescent toilet stickers; aka they share our love language. 🍿 🤩 .  Wish we could say the same for the WARLOCK CHRONIKLEZ audiences the week before. Very middle-school boy mentality, but it’s also… psychologically thrilling. We always thought those were invitations for a cacophony of sound to celebrate some mutual love/distaste. But instead it’s like, “my driving is reliably sucky but if you call me out with your horn, YOU’RE THE FOOL!” Just something to process, or if you’ve already processed this (or just simply always known this and therefore never needed any processing time) something for you to find us a lil’ dumber with. View Our Calendar Here →  Bonjour les Darlings! VanJam and Booker Mary have just returned from a wonderful trip to Montréal for the famed and fabulous Just For Laughs comedy festival! We saw some great shows, ate some delicious meals, and watched the beginning scene of Magic Mike 3: Magic Mike’s Last Dance several times in the wee small hours of the morning, and then enjoyed rotating fantasy’s/space work of embodying the energy of either Channing/Mike (strong good puppy) or Selma/“Maxandra” (confident, calm, wildly strong and sensual) Our takeaways from the trip? Our AirBnB host should absolutely be ashamed of herself (yuck!), the city is bursting with charm and beautiful signage, and we’re so lucky to have so many absolute next-level Dynasty Darlings shining on the world’s stage. Looking at the programming, we were so proud of how many of these wonderful artists have expressssed themselves at our place in LA. Home weird home!  In opposite-of-Channing-Tatum-news, we've just learned the world lost Paul Reubens today. There's no doubt that our shared love of silliness, absurdity, enchantment, and satire was profoundly influenced by Pee Wee Herman. The big adventure, the big top, and the playhouse were all on repeat throughout our childhoods and beyond. And we'll never forget trying to tame our excitement as we served him DynaPop! before one of our shows a few years ago. RIP to an absolute legend! We’re at a solid 40% battery life ourselves, bodily factors keeping us from true sleep (looking at you, youth-sciatica™, and staring you down, early-onset insomnia, and really giving the stink eye to some children who love nothing more than sneaking into bed to use one of our heads (Van) as a pummeling orb.) Sleep-prohibitors aside we’re still… VITAL. And that’s our wish for you as well, UNLIMITED ACCESS TO VITALITY! (We’re working on a pill for that! So far the only ingredient is popcorn.) We’re very excited about all the upcoming programming ‘round these parts and also very excited that VanJam + our fabulous booker Miss Mary will be heading to Montreal this weekend to attend JFL and see more comedy and meet professional comedy people so we can bring more comedy to our venue that has a lot of comedy.
